Experience

Dr. Janna is a Ministry of Health accredited Plastic Surgeon recognised for his aesthetic and reconstructive skills. Through his career, he has worked on a wide range of cases, including aesthetic, microsurgical, burns and reconstructive surgery.

His aesthetic repertoire include invasive and non invasive techniques for face lifts (through surgery, thread lift* or fillers**), buccal fat removal, breast augmentation, breast reduction, body contouring surgery, mummy makeovers and fat transfers (small or large volume) and surgery for hair loss. With reconstructive surgery, he routinely manages skin cancers and reconstructs defects following breast cancer. For some of these cases, he uses microsurgical techniques for optimal results.

Prior to Camden, Dr. Janna was a senior consultant plastic surgeon in the department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at the Singapore General Hospital. In 2016, he received the long service award for his contributions. He has also been awarded the SingHealth Service with a Heart Award.

Dr. Janna qualified in London before working there for a few years and did research into wound healing where he looked at scars and keloid tissue. He returned to Singapore to finish his plastic surgery training and was subsequently awarded a Ministry of Health scholarship to Brazil. He performed numerous operations in facial surgery, body contouring surgery, mummy makeovers, liposuction, breast augmentation***, breast reduction and other aesthetic procedures. To the best of our knowledge, Dr. Janna remains the ONLY plastic surgeon from Singapore to have been awarded a scholarship to Brazil.

Dr. Janna has published numerous peer reviewed articles in various academic journals and has also presented his work locally and internationally. He is involved in research and is Clin. Asst. Professor with Duke-NUS Medical School.

Outside clinical work, Dr. Janna often travels abroad to perform humanitarian work on the less privileged. He has travelled several times to Myanmar, Indonesia and Bangladesh where he performs surgery for children with cleft lip (or hare lip) and palate.
